Many years ago, I was asked by my husband to write a description and story to go with a video game he was designing. I knew how to write… as one friend told me back then, I “knew how to put a sentence together.”

Soon, however, I found that I had written not a description, not a short story, but the entire first chapter of a novel! Since that day, I’ve written over 25 novels and chapter books, and 14 of those are for children.

Now, it’s my great honor to bring what I know about writing books to your school. Because, as I tell the students at the end of every presentation, EVERYONE has a story inside of them!
